One of my last classes in university was an elective course about making maquettes and puppets. I wish I had known about the class earlier, as it was one of my favourites.

I created this design and sketched it out in three views for sculpture reference.

Here is the sculpt. There is an armature underneath the clay, which is aluminium wire and aluminium foil in a basic skeletal shape for support. This armature is bolted to a small wood platform as a base. All this support is covered by the clay.
